The National Women's Football Association, the largest pro football league in the world for women, has announced the granting of two licenses for girl's teams.

The teams will operate under the guidance of the National Girls Football Association which will be directed by the NWFA.

The owner of the first NGFA team is Sandy Palmer. Palmer has been involved with the women's league for several years and has a daughter who is too young to play in the big league. The team is located in Asheboro, North Carolina.
